Product Overview

The Gladiator GV500 is the diesel-powered, heavy-duty vacuum excavator trailer in the Gladiator HDD VAC lineup. Powered by a 36.9 HP water-cooled diesel engine, the GV500 delivers 431 CFM of vacuum suction through a 4-inch, 30-foot hose via a Tri Lobe blower at 24 inHg — built for contractors who need all-day diesel reliability, a larger spoil tank, and more water capacity on demanding utility and directional drilling jobsites.

Manufactured by Gladiator HDD, the GV500 features a 650-gallon spoil tank — 150 gallons more than the GV500G — along with 400 gallons of water across two tanks and an 18,400 lb GVWR, making it the preferred choice for high-volume excavation jobs where fewer dump cycles and more on-board water mean better shift productivity.

Vacuum System

The GV500 vacuum system features 0.5-micron filtration, a 30-foot 4-inch diameter hose, and a Tri Lobe blower delivering 431 CFM at 24 inHg of suction pressure. The larger 4-inch hose diameter and Tri Lobe blower design provide excellent handling of thick slurry, cuttings, and mixed spoil — ideal for directional drilling fluid management and heavy hydro excavation applications.

High Pressure Wash Pump

The integrated high-pressure wash pump delivers 4 GPM at 4,000 PSI (adjustable). Two water tanks totaling 400 gallons provide extended hydro-excavation capacity — significantly reducing the frequency of water refill stops on long shifts or remote jobsites.

Spoil Tank & Tank Lift

The 650-gallon spoil tank is constructed with 1/4-inch shell and heads, designed to withstand full pressure off and full vacuum conditions. A hydraulic door with 8 manual wing nuts seals securely during operation and opens fully at the dump site. The hydraulic scissor lift system provides full dump capability at a 50-degree tilt for complete and fast spoil discharge.

Running Gear & Chassis

The GV500 rides on two 8,000 lb single wheel axles with oil bath hubs and 4-inch drop, 16-inch 8-hole steel wheels, and 235/75R 16-inch 14-ply tires. The 12 1/4-inch x 3 3/8-inch electric brakes with self-charging break-away system ensure safe towing at all times. A 12,000 lb static drop leg jack provides stable jobsite parking. Sealed beam lights with waterproof wiring in nylon tubing complete the road-legal setup.
