Product Overview

The Gladiator G100 is the flagship standard model in the Gladiator HDD lineup — a high-performance Horizontal Directional Drill delivering 100,838 LBS of thrust and pullback force at 213.25 FT/MIN. Powered by a 260 HP Cummins engine and producing 14,013 FT-LBS of torque, the G100 is engineered for contractors taking on the most demanding infrastructure projects: oil and gas pipeline crossings, large-diameter utility installations, crossings up to 2,624 FT, and any application where maximum power and endurance are non-negotiable.

Weighing 46,297 lbs and measuring 354 in L × 99 in W × 103 in H, the G100 is a full-size, heavy-duty HDD machine equipped with a 20-foot rod rack with loader arms, 175 GPM @ 1160 PSI fluid system, and a suggested reaming diameter of up to 47.24 inches — making it the most capable standard production model in the Gladiator lineup.

Performance Specifications

The G100 delivers 100,838 LBS of thrust and pullback at 213.25 FT/MIN, with a rotary torque of 14,013 FT-LBS. The fluid system operates at 175 GPM @ 1160 PSI with a rotation speed of 192 RPM. Entry angle is 21 degrees, with a suggested crossing length of up to 2,624 FT and a suggested reaming diameter of up to 47.24 inches.

Rod System

The G100 features a 12-rod onboard rack plus a full 20-foot rod rack with loader arms, using 3.50 × 181.1 inch drill rods — the largest rod format in the Gladiator lineup, matched to the G100's high-torque, high-force drilling demands. The integrated loader arm system streamlines rod handling operations on large-scale bore campaigns.

Construction & Systems

The G100 is built with a steel hood and a 20-foot rod rack with loader arms as standard. Onboard systems include auto anchor, mud flow adjust, and shut-off valves. The safety package covers antifreeze tank, strike alert, and seat sensor — providing comprehensive operator and equipment protection on every bore.

Operator Comfort & Controls

The rotating cab keeps operators ergonomically positioned and comfortable across extended drilling shifts.  The G100 is operated via wireless remote with hydraulic lockout shut-off — giving operators precise, safe command of all drilling functions across the full 100,000+ LBS force range.

Ideal Applications

The Gladiator G100 is engineered for: oil and gas transmission pipeline crossings, large-diameter municipal water and sewer main installations, major highway and freeway HDD crossings, long-distance trenchless bores up to 2,624 FT in hard or mixed soil conditions, power transmission and large conduit projects, and any application requiring 100,000+ LBS of directional drilling capability with a proven 260 HP Cummins powerplant.

Custom Builds Available

For projects requiring force beyond 100,000 LBS — up to 2.5 million lbs — Gladiator HDD offers fully custom-engineered drill solutions. Contact Gladiator HDD directly to discuss your project requirements and available custom build options.
